It
is essential that we instill in our children the importance of studying
our Deen from a very young age. By giving due importance to the regular
attendance of school, emphasizing timely arrival, and ensuring that
children come well prepared with completed homework and appropriate
books, our children will come to understand the importance of our Deen.
Attendance and Punctuality
1. Students must attend school regularly. If a child has to miss school, his/her teacher should be notified
prior to their absence. (Only valid reasons, such as illness, traveling, etc.
will be accepted.
If
a child misses school three times without proper reason or notice then his or
her place may be given to a child on the waiting list.
2.The
first time a family arrives late, their names will be recorded at the door. The
second time onwards they will be requested to wait in their car till snack time
begins at 10:50, when the children will be allowed in. Parents who have called
the class teacher the night before notifying him/her of their child’s upcoming
lateness due to a valid reason will be allowed in.
Pick-up and Drop-off
1. Children must arrive at 9:45am to ensure that classes start at 10am sharp.
2. To ensure the safety of their children, parents must pick them up from their classrooms at 12:30pm to prevent them from running outside unsupervised.
If the parent will not be picking their child they must hand in a note or inform
the teacher or assistant in the morning when dropping him/her off.
3. Parents are requested to drop their children to their respective
classes and leave, as conversing in the hallways can be a source of
distraction to the children, as well as the teachers.
Class Material
1. Students must bring their schoolbooks pertaining to each subject
every Saturday. They should also bring notebooks and pens or pencils,
according to their teacher's requirements.
2.As
some children cannot participate due to lack of space
we wish all attending students to derive maximum benefit from the
school. This can only be done if they come prepared for class with appropriate
material and always do their homework. If any child comes without
homework to school three times despite reminders to parents. We will give his or
her place to a child on the waiting list.
